Contur Software AB acquires iNovacia's research informatics division
iNovacia AB and Contur Software AB today announced that iNovacia's informatics division will be transferred to Contur.
The key assets are knowhow and software relating to R&D data management, laboratory automation, and discovery research workflow. The team members have on average 15 years professional experience from pharmaceutical and biotech informatics environments. The acquisition is effective of April 1 2010.
"We are focusing on our core business, drug discovery contract research, and strongly believe that the Informatics business will develop strongly in the solid environment for software design at Contur" said Thomas Olin, CEO of iNovacia. The continued collaboration between iNovacia and Contur to validate new research informatic's software will keep iNovacia at the absolute forefront of IP compliant and effective capturing of research data, Thomas Olin continues."

Our history
Contur Software AB was founded in 1999 in Stockholm, Sweden, with initial focus on software development for companies within the retail, telecom and pharmaceutical industries. In 2002 Contur initiated collaboration with one of Europe’s major biotech companies Biovitrum, to develop an Enterprise Electronic Lab Notebook. The system was named ConturELN and was rolled-out successfully at Biovitrum in 2003.
